Budget 2000 - UK Steel's reaction

The Budget announced by the Chancellor on 21st March 2000 was a missed opportunity. It was a disappointment for the UK steel industry, and for UK manufacturing in general. The Chancellor failed to show any recognition of the vital role that manufacturing still has in the UK economy. (06.04.00)
